Native in Sarawak = Melayu?
As i quotes from source -''For you and I this is very bad. How can a Malay go to church? How can a Malay celebrate Christmas? How can a Malay celebrate Gawai?” he asked. He added that these children and their families ate pork as well. “How can they be of keturunan Melayu?”
Could this be a directive fault from the Education Division of a Ministry? Or an act of ignorant to acknowledged such races exist [Rebranding] ? Tell me what you think?
p/s: Next time when you fill in a form and you see a space where you suppose to put your race, if it says Malayu, Cina, India dan lain-lain and it doesn't state your race, strike off lain-lain and write down your race

King spikes back!
The season is here & blink of an eye its gone.
For each time im feasting on Durians , i can't help to flash back how my childhood moments was. For every Durians season, everyone in the family would gather at aunt's place to sit around the big long table to feast. Pretty much warm it felt back then when one crack open the Durians, all would rush to taste them 1st hand. My cousins (mostly of age gap of 2-4 yrs apart) will be running round the house playing, some would be outside bullying the dogs.
It was as if a family tradition till The Good Lord decides to take Papa (grandpa) away for an eternity life with him. Since then, things had change. The cousins who was running around grew up just too quick ...
Hence, i still find it a memory to cherish as for each time Dad makes effort to get them for us all to sit around the table to feast away together except for Koko who would get away as far as possible from the smell.
Have you had your share yet?I had mine & it was superb high.Yummy rich finger licking good!

Kampung Giam,shoosh!

Bamboo brigde. Luckily didn't fall & drop like humty dumpty else Tim would be so ready to snap few frames :)
These were the 'sampans' parked close to the river banks. No engine, you do your own paddling.
One thing caught my sight was this church, which was just located close to the ream of the river bank & the stairs towards others part of the kampung.
To have the feel of kampung, you could opt for Giam homestay.
Aint bricks builted & well equipped with all neccesary utilities.
On top of all,Tim said Hot Rock!

The other day

You ought to recognize that logo on the lorries.Trineken, that's Kuching waste management co.

Up the hill, into the valley of waste.

Here's where its being process.

Then treated. Those which can be recycle, would be recycle.Whereby other waste which can't fit into that category would be disposed.
The waste bins which are of traffic lights colours serves different industry.

This green bin, most found behind shop lots. Whereby, those at residential areas would be half the size.

What about the red ones?

It is most found around stop & go areas like open car park events & sales.

What about yellow? This should be easy for you to guess if you happen to be alert of your surroundings.

Yellow ones are mostly located in Hospitals. ;)
Other than these 3 colours above, the rest are just creative bins. Bet some of yours are being 'art' pimp.
These were taken from Trineken roadshow, The Spring
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hence, on that same day (somewhere middle of May). Anna wanted to 'window shoe shop' in Padini until she made a hole in her pocket. She tried almost 6-7 pairs but luckily ended up with 2 pairs. Else, sure faint. Luckily, it was members pre-sales.

It was just the 2 of us.

Then 3.(That's Tim!)

Then 4.(That's Cynthia aka Ting!)
There were suppose to be the 5th one. But he went missing else where. Perhaps busy trying on some ladies cloth *giggles*

Early in the morning

Bau,that's where my breakfast cum brunch ended up.

Bau,a small town not far from Kuching. Car Q was as crazy as in City due to Gawai holidays.

These are the Morning peeps. Rose, Ed & JF. Jello whom came joining us later in the noon.

NK, the only departmental store in Bau.Since it was Gawai (Harvest Festival in Sarawak), expected to be fill with crowds.

We decide to check it out.Perhaps, different branches has different offer. The guys headed straight to the inner wear department. *ngah ngah*

While Rose sneaking thru' the junk food.

'Cause there were just too much of a crowd. We left empty handed.

Since we're in BAU. We decide to stroll around the town itself (since it is all walking distance) & headed to Blue Lake (Tasik Biru)

*snap snap*

We didnt walk to Blue Lake.We hitch a ride from Jello since he was just around the 'round-about'. Like those James bond movie, where the ride came & these peeps jump into the wagon n called it free ride.

Suk abis bah! They didn't last long until they gave up & came sitting in the car as it was steamy burning hot outside.

What else there's in Bau?Well,Rose & I got ourself some salted fish.*shiok*

Bau has Singha Thai Beer. Why Kuching don't have?!!

It was hot. We're trying very hard to open our eyes for this frame bah.
p/s: It is not a pre- plan thingy. It was random okay!

Eve
